Everything Begins and Ends with Jesus
We seek his leadership in our worship, decisions, relationships, and daily lives. Our shared faith begins and ends with him.
What we believe · How we live
Living Water is a non-denominational Christian church centered on Jesus and grounded in Scripture. Our beliefs shape how we worship, care for people, and serve our neighbors. You do not need a church background or all the answers to begin exploring faith here.
We believe in one God, eternally Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is our Creator, perfect in love, holiness, justice, and mercy. We worship the Father, Son, and Spirit together and seek a personal relationship with the God who knows and loves us.
Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior. He lived without sin, died for us, and rose from the dead. We are saved by God's freely given grace, received through faith in Jesus-not by earning our way to God. Following Jesus means trusting him and surrendering our lives to his leadership.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who lives in every follower of Jesus and empowers us to live faithfully, grow in Christlike character, understand God's truth, use the gifts He gives, and participate in God's work in the world. We believe the Holy Spirit is active today, guiding, comforting, convicting, equipping, and empowering the church to carry out the mission of Jesus.
God makes himself known through Jesus Christ, Scripture, and creation. We receive the Bible as God's dependable Word, revealing his character and equipping us for a faithful life. We read, study, and respond to Scripture together as we learn to follow Jesus.
Every person bears God's image and has dignity and worth. Sin has broken our relationship with God and with one another. All of us need God's grace, and no one is beyond his love. That conviction shapes how we welcome, listen to, and care for people.
The church is Christ's body, called to worship God, share the good news of Jesus, and serve the world in his name. We seek unity in the Spirit and peace with one another. Our shared life includes prayer, joyful worship, learning Scripture, meaningful relationships, and practical care.
We honor baptism as a sacrament and an act of submission to God. It represents our death, burial, and resurrection with Jesus Christ. If you have questions about baptism or are considering this step, we'd love to open Scripture with you and talk about what it means.
We honor Holy Communion as a sacrament. We gather at the Lord's table to remember Jesus' sacrifice, receive his grace, and share in the life he gives us. Communion is part of our worship together; please reach out if you have questions about participating.
Our hope rests in Jesus' resurrection and his promise to return. God will bring his kingdom to fullness. This future hope strengthens us to follow Jesus, love our neighbors, and live faithfully today.
How we read Scripture
The Bible was written in real places, in particular cultures, to people facing real questions. Taking those settings seriously helps us hear Scripture faithfully.
We begin by asking what a passage meant to its original audience. We consider its historical setting, the author's purpose, and its literary form-whether story, poetry, prophecy, wisdom, gospel, or letter. We read a verse within its passage and within the wider story of Scripture.
Our six core values
Our mission is following Jesus and helping others do the same. Our core values give that mission a practical shape.
We seek his leadership in our worship, decisions, relationships, and daily lives. Our shared faith begins and ends with him.
We pray, listen, and expect God to move. We depend on the Holy Spirit as we grow, serve, and step into God's mission.
We grow through Scripture, prayer, worship, and relationships. Discipleship is a daily journey of learning and practicing the way of Jesus.
We make room for people to belong, build friendships, care for one another, and grow in faith together. We seek unity in the essentials of Christian faith, room for differences on secondary questions, and love in every conversation. Disagreement should never become a reason to stop treating someone with dignity.
We share the hope of Jesus and contribute to the good of our community. Loving our neighbors means showing up where they live and meeting practical needs.
We give and serve as expressions of God's love. Our time, gifts, and resources become ways to care for people and support the work of the church.
Whether you are exploring faith or have followed Jesus for years, we'd love to listen and study Scripture with you.
